Kaitlyn Miller grew up in New Jersey. She fell in love with horses at six years old when she went on her first trail ride. Kaitlyn soon began taking riding lessons and later showing in hunter, jumper, and equitation classes.
As a student at Delaware Valley College, she was very active in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association where she was the team captain and won at the Regionals, Zones, and Nationals. Kaitlyn was twice selected to represent her school at the International World Equestrian Cup. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Studies. She then pursued British Horse Society certification for horse care, knowledge, and riding and received her Preliminary Teaching Test certificate. In 2009, Kaitlyn moved from New Jersey to New York where she began teaching and riding at a large lesson and show barn.
When not at OakenCroft, Kaitlyn enjoys hiking, riding her Connemara, Tigger, and spending time with her husband, Josh, their son, Cole, and their Australian Shepherd, Max, on their small farm.
