For as long as she can remember, Stacy has loved horses. She was lucky enough to begin riding at age 10. At 12, her grandfather bought Stacy her first horse, Cody, who quickly became a champion and best friend. Cody was the beginning of Stacy’s equine career.
Since that time, she has shown extensively in hunters, open shows, and the AQHA circuit. She earned multiple championships, top-five, and top-ten titles and an Open All Around title at the Color Breed Congress and an AQHA Congress top-ten with her horses Abby and Michelob.
Stacy grew up in the Capital Region and has a degree in Equine Studies from SUNY Cobleskill. After college, she worked in Westchester for a large A-Circuit show barn as assistant trainer. Stacy joined ECO in 2005 where her main job is running the laboratory; she also cares for the horses in the hospital and especially enjoys the new foals.
In addition to her job at ECO, Stacy also runs a local boarding and lesson stable that has recently relocated to Rensselaer County. She spends much of her time outside of ECO travelling to horse shows with her horses and students. She also founded and manages a series of local horse shows, Show Off Equine Events (www.showoffequine.com). In what free time she does have, Stacy enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Nick, her barn family, and her dog, Diesel.
