Growing up in western Massachusetts, Dr. Katie Clark always had a love for animals and began riding horses at a young age. Outside of school, Katie spent all of her time at the barn. Whether she was riding or doing barn chores, Katie always enjoyed time spent around the horses. After seeing the veterinarians come out for an emergency for one of the horses, Katie decided she wanted to pursue a career as an equine veterinarian.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, while working at their equine facility. Katie continued her education at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where she worked as a technician in the Hospital for Large Animals.
Katie is very excited to be completing her internship at the Equine Clinic at OakenCroft. Her special interests include ophthalmology, reproduction, and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and kayaking with her dog Sadie and is excited to explore New York State.
