Dr. Suzanne Jaynes, MVB

Dr. Jaynes is originally from Littleton, New Hampshire where she grew up riding hunters. As a child, she frequently visited Rockingham Park and Suffolk Downs were her grandmother owned and raced thoroughbreds. Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. During that time, she studied abroad in Ireland, taking courses in Equine Studies. While living in Europe, she fulfilled her bucket list dreams of riding in (and surviving) an Irish foxhunt and visiting the world famous Lipizzaners at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. She graduated from the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Ireland in 2005. After earning her veterinary degree, Suzanne completed a one-year internship at Saratoga Equine Veterinary Services in Saratoga Springs, New York. Following her internship, she practiced as an equine veterinarian at a large group practice in Rhode Island for several years. Suzanne enjoys many aspects of equine medicine with particular interests in dentistry, nutrition and improving the quality of life of all horses. She enjoys connecting with horse owners and helping their equine companions and athletes reach their fullest potential. As a horse owner herself, she fully understands the depth of love people have for their horses.

Suzanne and her husband, Chris, met in Saratoga and they both hoped to return to the area to raise their family. They relocated to Ballston Spa in 2016 and have two young children, Hazel and William. In her treasured spare time, Suzanne enjoys visiting the ocean, exploring the beautiful parks of New York riding her Canadian horse, Taylor, and playing with her kids. Her secret dream is to show Taylor at Stockade Dressage, or at least get all dressed up, take a photo and pretend that it happened.
