Kelcie Moss

Kelcie grew up in Bethlehem, NY and was introduced to horses as a form of therapy in 2009. She got her first horse named Ruben in 2016, but he unfortunately passed away in 2023 due to colic. Ruben taught her so much about veterinary care due to the various ailments he had. Kelcie worked at a local barn for 14 years taking care of horses, teaching kids how to ride and mucking stalls; her all time favorite job.

From a young age she has always wanted to do something with animals. She went to SUNY Schenectady Community College for Culinary Arts with a concentration in baking and graduated in 2022. She planned to use this degree to open up a bakery for people and their furry friends but plans changed when she didn’t find the joy in baking that she once had. She started to look around for jobs with veterinarians and found her new passion in being a veterinarian assistant with OakenCroft.

In her free time, you can catch her making a mess in the kitchen, eating ice cream and hanging out with her personal pets... Cash, who is a French Mastiff Coonhound Mix and her two black cats, Honey and Pepper.
