Kaitlyn Miller

Inventory / Accounts Payable

Kaitlyn Miller grew up in New Jersey. She fell in love with horses at six years old when she went on her first trail ride. Kaitlyn soon began taking riding lessons and later showing in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings.

As a student at Delaware Valley College, she was very active in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association where she was the team captain and won at the Regional, Zone, and National level. Kaitlyn was also selected to represent her school at the Intercollegiate World Equestrian Cup, which allowed her to travel to amazing places to compete, like the Netherlands in 2008. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Large Animal Science specializing in Equine. She then pursued British Horse Society Certification for horse care, knowledge, and riding and went on to receive her Preliminary Teaching Test certificate. In 2009, Kaitlyn moved from New Jersey to New York where she began teaching and riding at a large lesson and show barn.

Kaitlyn joined the team at OakenCroft in 2013 and currently does the inventory purchasing and manages the pharmacy, as well as handles the accounts payable. When not at the clinic, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, their sons; Cole and Gabe, and their Australian Shepherd, Max. With two young kids Kaitlyn's competitive riding career has taken a temporary back seat, but she always enjoys hacking her connemara Tigger on their small farm and hopes back into the show ring when life calms down a little.
